Real Ale Night & Ryan Mckechnie - (posted 9 Feb)

On Friday 17th February there will be a real ale tasting evening at the club. It will also be Ryan Mckechnie's last evening at the club for some time as he goes off to join the Royal Marines.

The studio page information has been updated and the latest information about the classes has been posted on the website, go to the THE STUDIO page and click the link for the classes information.

Unfortunately the club's 2nd Team has had to withdraw from the Dorset leagues due to lack of players available.

Happy New Year - (posted 3 Jan)

Firstly to everyone at WS&FC we hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. From January 3rd the club will be up and running as normal with all classes and opening times as usual.With New Year’s resolutions being made, we are all hoping to see new faces in the club trying out our gym, studio classes or even a game of squash (if you see any good players please contact Janet Biles as I’m sure she would like to introduce them to the 3rd team!!!) we wish all our present and new members that they keep giving WS&FC their support into the New Year and keep the club as friendly and sociable as its always been.

Christmas Parties - (posted 3 Jan)

Through the Christmas month we were pleased to have had many a success with the Christmas parties/meals; it was good to see some old faces back in the club as well as new ones. All parties very much enjoyed their time at WS&FC. The quality of service throughout all the evenings was to a high standard which was greatly appreciated by all who came. With all the parties there was a very friendly and fun atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. From the squash players get together they all had a great evening and we hope to provide this service next year to celebrate 2012.

In January the club  will be host to a wedding of one of our most famous and most loyal member “Barry Amor” WS&FC are honoured to be providing Barry and his wife to be Caroline, a day the special couple will never forget.

New Zumba Classes - (posted 3 Jan)

Two new classes coming soon in the New Year are Zumba Gold and Zumba Toning, if you want to know more about these classes please contact us on 01305787000, or ask a member of staff. If you wish to leave your contact details with the centre and we will contact you when the classes will be starting.

JDS - (posted 1 Dec)

It’s hard to believe that JDS has been teaching at the club for 25 years, she is wearing well. So I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that was involved in keeping her surprise party, on 19th November, a surprise. A big thank you to Jakki, wishing her another healthy 25 years.

Zumba - (posted 1 Dec)

Zumba has become very popular in the last 12 month, with its exotic rhythms, set to high energy Latin beat. So Becky has decided to start up some new classes, with that hypnotic Latin rhythm

- Zumba Gold
Using the Zumba format and adapted for the active older adult/or the complete fitness beginner.

- Zumba Toning
Combine body sculpting exercise and high energy workouts to create a calorie burning strengthening work out.

Look out for posters put up around the club within the next couple of weeks informing you on dates and times of these new classes

It’s this time of year when all tend to over indulge, so we are offering a special promotion Gym membership which includes all circuit classes, 3months for the price of 2, this offer will only run until January 31st so don’t hesitate, join now, or treat someone special for Christmas.
